Are you a high-performing sales leader with a track record of scaling teams and crushing targets? We are looking for a Regional Sales Director to lead our Western Canadian expansion.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through a team of field-based Business Development Managers, coaching them to win in the SME market, and executing a high-velocity sales strategy.
This isn’t a “sit back and monitor” role. We need a hands-on leader who thrives on the front lines, loves closing deals, and knows how to build a culture of accountability and excellence
Role Purpose: Lead, coach, and scale a high-performance team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) across British Columbia and Alberta to exceed revenue targets through disciplined sales execution and value-based selling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership & Performance
- Revenue Ownership: Own the regional P&L and ensure BC and Alberta consistently hit volume and revenue targets.
- Pipeline Management: Drive BDMs to self-generate leads (ASK Referrals) and maintain high activity levels across calls, demos, and closes.
- Forecasting: Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports and revenue forecasts to Executive leadership.
- Operational Excellence: Partner with Inside Sales to optimize appointment quality and lead conversion.
2. Team Development & Coaching
- Field Coaching: Conduct regular field accompaniments and evaluations to improve BDM presentation and closing skills.
- Training: Implement corporate training programs, run skill-building sales meetings, and chair quarterly sales conferences.
- Performance Management: Manage individual development plans and proactive corrective actions-ensuring “no surprises” regarding team performance.
3. Strategic Execution
- Process Optimization: Identify and unlock bottlenecks in the existing sales process to lift overall conversion.
- Culture: Champion a high-energy, respectful, and competitive culture aligned with company values.
- ROI: Maximize the impact of sales and marketing investments through strict adherence to the company’s “playbook.”
What You Bring
- Leadership: Proven success leading a field sales team, ideally within the SME sector.
- Lead Gen Expert: Expertise in building teams that successfully self-generate their own pipelines.
- Analytical: Highly numerate; able to quickly interpret CRM data (Salesforce) to drive results.
- Communicator: A confident leader who can influence, inspire, and deliver brevity in reporting.
- Agility: Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Requirements
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office.
- Mobility: Full clean driver’s license; flexible to travel across BC, AB, and other provinces as needed.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to meet regional demands.
Additional Benefits
- $160,000 Base Salary
- $15,000 per Quarter on Target Bonus, resulting in $240,000 on Target earnings
- Quarterly Lead-by-Doing incentives where self-generated revenue is commissioned and bonused.
- $8,400 per annum Car Allowance or Company Car
- 20 days paid vacation + statutory holidays
- Extra day off for your birthday
- Clear career development and progression plan
- Health benefits
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- RRSP matching program
- Supportive leadership and a Great Place To Work® Certified culture
