A leading specialist insurer is looking for an experienced Compliance Business Partner to join its growing team. With ambitious plans for growth and a well-established reputation in the SME market, this is a fantastic opportunity for a compliance professional looking to take the next step in their career.

The business offers a range of legal expenses and liability insurance products, working closely with Coverholder partners across the UK. This role will give you the chance to work at the heart of the organisation, influencing key decisions and helping to ensure robust compliance and governance frameworks are in place.

      The Role
Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to teams across the business, providing clear, practical guidance on regulatory requirements and helping to promote a positive compliance culture. You’ll play a key role in supporting good customer outcomes and helping the business navigate a changing regulatory landscape.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Working with senior leaders and operational teams to provide compliance advice and support on FCA, PRA, and other relevant regulatory matters.
      • Offering day-to-day guidance on regulatory obligations, emerging risks, and changes in regulation.
      • Supporting product development and change projects to ensure compliant and customer-focused outcomes.
      • Designing and delivering compliance monitoring activities and reporting on key findings.
      • Overseeing the complaints process, identifying trends and supporting root cause analysis.
      • Assisting with corporate governance processes, including preparation of regulatory submissions and governance papers.
      • Building strong relationships across the business and representing the company at client meetings and industry forums.

      What We’re Looking For

      • Experience working in a compliance role within general insurance or financial services.
      • Strong knowledge of FCA and PRA regulations, particularly around conduct, product governance, and customer outcomes.
      • Hands-on experience in compliance monitoring or audit.
      • Confident communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and challenge where necessary.
      • A balanced, practical approach to compliance, with good commercial awareness.

      Why Join?
You’ll be joining a business at an exciting stage of its journey, with real opportunities to get involved in shaping the way it operates. You’ll be given plenty of autonomy, exposure to senior leaders, and the chance to develop your career in a supportive, collaborative environment.
