Love the people side of HR? Confident handling difficult conversations and advising on sensitive employee issues? This could be the role for you.

I’m working with a growing professional services business looking for an experienced HR professional to join its team in a hands-on, client-facing role.

This is all about employee relations – attending formal meetings, managing challenging situations and helping employers navigate complex people issues with confidence!

      Day to Day

Attending client sites to support and conduct disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeal meetings.

      • Advising employers on investigations, employee disputes and settlement discussions.
      • Handling sensitive situations professionally, impartially and in line with employment legislation.
      • Identifying risks and providing clear, practical advice to clients.
      • Producing accurate case summaries and helping clients reach the right outcomes.
      • Building strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio of businesses.

      YOU?

Experience in HR consultancy, HR management, employee relations or employment law.

      • Strong knowledge of disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
      • Confidence sitting in formal meetings and handling difficult conversations.
      • A calm, professional approach when dealing with people who may be upset, frustrated or under pressure.
      • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
      • Flexibility to travel to client sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice.

      WHY?

      • A genuinely varied role – no two days are the same.
      • A mix of home-based working and client visits.
      • Exposure to a wide range of employee relations cases and industries.
      • The chance to build your expertise and make a real difference to businesses.

If you’re an ER-focused HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and helping employers through challenging situations, I’d love to speak with you.
