      We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded leader to head up the Southwest Procurement division for our client. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants to shape and grow a regional business that supports public sector clients across the Southwest.
      You’ll be joining an independent, not-for-profit organisation that has a long-standing reputation for delivering quality frameworks and procurement solutions in construction and housing. The Southwest is a key growth region with real potential – and we’re looking for someone to take it to the next level.

      What the role involves:
      * Leading the regional team, overseeing all aspects of delivery, business development, marketing, client engagement, and performance.
      * Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners – much of this will be face-to-face across the Southwest.
      * Running the region like a small business, with autonomy to shape the direction and make things happen.
      * Working with the wider senior management team to contribute to national strategy and cross-regional initiatives.
      * Bringing energy, ideas, and commercial know-how to a close-knit, multi-functional team – mentoring and supporting colleagues to do their best work.

      What we’re looking for:
      * A senior-level background in commercial leadership, sales, business development or procurement – ideally in construction, housing, or the wider public sector.
      * Someone who enjoys getting out and meeting people, understands what clients need, and knows how to lead a team to deliver.
      * A strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves – comfortable switching between spreadsheets, high-level planning, and team coaching.
      * Strong understanding of how to balance commercial performance with social impact.
      * Based within a reasonable distance of Exeter, with flexibility to travel across the Southwest and occasionally to other UK locations.
