      IT Operations Technician

      On site, 5 days a week

      £28,000 DOE

      The Role:
      We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Operations Support Technician to support the day-to-day running of our IT function. This role is ideal for someone with a practical approach to IT, who enjoys working with hardware, supporting engineers, and keeping operations running smoothly.

      You will be responsible for device configuration, asset and stock management, fault diagnostics, and providing operational and project support across the wider IT department.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Imaging and configuring Windows devices
      • Diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues
      • Managing stock in and stock out, ensuring accurate records are maintained
      • Overseeing equipment repairs under warranty
      • Maintaining accurate asset management records
      • Ensuring all IT tickets are updated with relevant and timely information
      • Keeping the IT workspace clean, organised, and efficient
      • Assisting engineers with onsite work when required
      • Supporting IT projects across the wider IT function
      • Carrying out administrative duties to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
      • Collaborating with other IT teams including Remote Support and 3rd Line Infrastructure on daily tasks and ad-hoc projects
      • Assisting with the maintenance of the field van fleet
      • Undertaking other duties as required to support daily IT operations

      Skills & Experience

      • Previous experience within the IT industry (procurement or operations experience desirable)
      • Basic knowledge of IT hardware and systems
      • A self-starter with a hands-on, flexible approach
      • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
      • Ability to use initiative and work proactively
      • Strong problem-solving mindset
      • Works well as part of a team
      • Able to deliver a high level of customer service to staff and clients
