The Role
As Group Bid Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end bid process across multiple business units, focusing on services such as HR, employment law, health & safety, and employee wellbeing. You’ll be instrumental in securing new business, managing retenders and renewals across both public and private sectors, and collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals.
This role is central to the business’s continued success and offers the chance to make a real impact by improving bid processes and driving innovation in how services are pitched and delivered.
Day to Day
- Lead capture planning for new opportunities including competitor and client research.
- Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of bid opportunities.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration on bid strategies.
- Lead full bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission.
- Maintain a high-quality bid library and reusable content repository.
- Analyse RFPs/RFIs and coordinate detailed response plans.
- Ensure compliance with both customer and internal requirements.
- Deliver high-quality, on-time submissions through effective project management.
- Continuously improve bid strategy, process, and delivery outcomes.
What you Bring to the Team
- Proven experience in bid management within professional services or consultancy environments.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing complex bids across public and private sectors.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
