      The Opportunity

      On behalf of a global leader in HR and People Management software, we are seeking a sophisticated and high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their elite sales division. This is a full-time, 5 days per week in-office role based in a premier downtown office just minutes from Union Station.

      Our client is looking for a closer who understands the unique landscape of the Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) market. While you will have support, this role is for a proactive professional who possesses the ability to self-generate leads and manage the critical closing stages of the sales process. You will be responsible for delivering bespoke SaaS solutions that solve real-world operational challenges for business owners.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Proactively self-prospect and generate new business opportunities to supplement the existing lead pipeline.
      • Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to understand an SMB owner’s unique challenges regarding HR, compliance, and employment law.
      • High-Deliver compelling, value-based software demonstrations that speak directly to the ROI needs of a small business.
      • Confidently handle objections at the executive level and navigate contract negotiations to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets.
      • Meticulously manage your sales funnel from initial discovery through to the final signature.

      Who You Are

      This role requires a seasoned sales professional who thrives on the “art of the deal” and understands the speed and nuance of selling to SMBs. The ideal candidate brings:

      • Experience: 3+ years of B2B Business Development experience with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
      • Substantial experience in a closing role is mandatory; you must be a specialist in moving prospects from interest to agreement.
      • Extensive experience working directly with Small-to-Medium Businesses; you understand their decision-making processes and how to speak their language.
      • A background in solution-selling is a must. You sell on value, peace of mind, and risk mitigation, not just software features.
      • You have the ability and the drive to self-generate leads and are not solely reliant on inbound marketing or SDR support.
