We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an Accounts Assistant to join its busy Finance team based in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance administration or accounts experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role across both the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions, supporting the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations while working to internal service levels and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring they are coded to the correct cost centres.
- Book accommodation and travel for field-based staff.
- Reconcile creditor statements and resolve supplier queries.
- Process and approve employee expenses in line with company policy.
- Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring payments are allocated correctly.
- Manage the purchase ledger inbox, processing invoices and following up on outstanding approvals.
- Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries efficiently.
Sales Ledger
- Accurately input and verify new client contract information within agreed internal SLAs.
- Process client refunds and account adjustments.
- Administer direct debits, including setting up, amending and removing details as required.
- Liaise with internal sales and client support teams to resolve account queries.
- Post unallocated cash, credits and carry out cash posting duties.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate, and enjoys working with numbers. You’ll be comfortable managing a varied workload, meeting deadlines and working within a KPI-driven finance environment.
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Finance Administration role.
- Strong numerical and data processing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with both internal teams and external contacts.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn.
