Principal Backend Developer (.NET) | Manchester (Onsite) | Up to £75,000
We’re looking for a Principal Backend Developer to join our Manchester-based team. This is a senior technical leadership role for an experienced .NET engineer who can drive backend architecture, scalability, and best practices.

The Role
- Lead backend architecture and technical direction
- Design and build scalable, high-performance APIs
- Champion clean code, testing, and engineering standards
- Mentor and support developers within the team
- Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams
What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
- Proven experience in a senior or principal-level role
- Deep understanding of API design and backend architecture
- Experience mentoring and influencing technical decisions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
