Portfolio Procurement have been engaged by our leading Kent based client to recruit for a Procurement Manager (Food)
Job Description
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies within the food and packaging categories.
- Manage the purchasing process including buying, supplying and distribution for the company.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery at competitive prices.
- Forecast demand for our products and services, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Stay up to date with changing regulations.
- Identify the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality.
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience as Procurement Manager within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience sourcing food ingredients and packaging.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (ideally).
- Strategically minded with strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
- Experience dealing with international suppliers and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
