      Bilingual Payroll Specialist (English/French)
      Location: Fully Remote

      About the Role
      We are looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven Bilingual Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic payroll team. This role is responsible for full-cycle payroll processing across multiple provinces, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and employee support. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Workday and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Process full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll (bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly)
      • Maintain and update employee payroll data within Workday
      • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation across Canada
      • Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and retroactive pay
      • Prepare and process ROEs, year-end reporting (T4s, RL-1s), and statutory remittances
      • Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies
      • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in both English and French
      • Partner with HR and Finance teams to support payroll-related initiatives and system updates

      Qualifications

      • 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-provincial environment
      • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll
      • Bilingual in English and French (both written and verbal)
      • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
      • PCP designation (or in progress) is an asset
      • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
      • Excellent communication and customer service mindset

      Nice to Have

      • Experience in a unionized environment
      • Exposure to payroll implementations or system transitions
      • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
