Role: Payroll Manager
Location: Downtown Toronto – 1-2 days a week onsite
Our client is seeking an experience US and Canadian payroll manager to lead their payroll team
Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards the ideal candidate for this role will:
- experience manageing full cycle US payroll for multiple states with knowledge on state and local tax filings, setting up new payroll accounts in compliance with federal laws
- experience managing multi-provincial Canadian payroll
- overseeing 2 direct payroll reports – reviewing their processes, supporting process improvement etc.
- payroll audits and reconcilation
- overseeing monthly remittances to governing bodies such as the CRA and IRS
- year end payroll reports such as T4s, W-2s etc.
- strong systems experience with Dayforce HCM – ability to configure the system, provide updates and changes in partnership with the Dayforce HRIS analyst
- strong excel ability to us VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot tables etc.
- PCP or PLP certification
