Role Summary
The Consultant, Advisory Services will play a key role in leading project workstreams and supporting end-to-end transformation initiatives, from strategy through to implementation.
This individual will work closely with senior advisors, clients, and stakeholders to assess HR and payroll functions, design operating models, define technology enablement strategies, and support change management and adoption.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong analytical skills, project delivery experience, and an interest in the future of HR, payroll, and human capital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
- Lead client workshops and meetings, facilitating discussions and gathering complex requirements.
- Support software and professional services selection processes, including definition, documentation, evaluation, and negotiation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and co-create practical, people-focused solutions.
- Develop and deliver high-quality client presentations and project deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
HR, Time Management & Payroll Transformation
- Lead and support HR transformation projects, including strategy, operating model design, process optimization, and change management.
- Conduct current-state assessments through data gathering, process mapping, systems analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
- Translate client needs into clear business and system requirements.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct research and analysis on HR, payroll, and workforce management best practices, trends, and technologies.
- Provide insight into leading HR and payroll practices, technologies, and vendor solutions.
- Develop HR transformation strategies and roadmaps tailored to client needs.
- Support the design and implementation of HR, time management, and payroll processes, policies, and systems.
- Develop and execute change management plans and communication strategies to support adoption.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting to provide actionable business insights.
Project Management
- Support project planning and execution to ensure timely delivery of project tasks.
- Maintain project documentation and track progress against timelines and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues.
Internal Development
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client conversations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for accelerators, AI tools, and other assets that can benefit clients and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR, consulting, transformation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HR and payroll functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, time and attendance, employee data, compliance, and payroll cycles.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms such as Dayforce, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, or Oracle HCM.
- Experience analyzing current-state environments, gathering requirements, and working with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with collaboration platforms such as Miro, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered a strong asset.
