      Portfolio Payroll is working alongside a highly prestigious, household-name UK consumer brand based in Doncaster who are seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to spearhead their end-to-end processing on a temp to perm basis.

      Key Responsibilities

      • End-to-end payroll & pensions: Oversee accurate and timely delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls, auto-enrolment, pensions, and colleague expenses.
      • System management: Manage day-to-day processing and data entry utilizing the iTrent platform.
      • Compliance & quality assurance: Maintain full compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, HMRC guidelines, and audit standards.
      • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for standardisation and automation to reduce manual intervention and increase operational efficiency.
      • Stakeholder collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, partnering with Finance, People, and third-party providers.
      • Operational support: Provide dedicated support to the Payroll Team Leadership while ensuring strict adherence to SLAs and KPIs.

      Ideal Experience

      • Proven payroll background: Minimum of 3 years of practical, hands-on experience in end-to-end UK and ROI payroll and pensions processing.
      • iTrent systems expertise: Proven, confident capability in processing and delivering payroll using iTrent.
      • Change & transformation skills: Experience supporting new technologies, testing new functionality, and training team members.
      • Strong communication & organisation: Able to build connected relationships across business areas with clarity, context, and high integrity.
      • Professional qualifications: A professional CIPP Payroll Technician qualification or a Payroll Level 3 apprenticeship is highly desirable.

      Job Details

      • Salary: £18ph + Holiday Pay (£36,000 FTE)
      • Contract: Temp-to-Perm
      • Working Pattern: Hybrid working pattern (office-based in Doncaster with remote flexibility)
      • Reporting to: Payroll Team Leader
