Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading West Yorkshire based client to recruit for an Indirect Buyer.
Purpose of job:
- Take ownership for identifying and driving cost saving initiatives throughout the group on all Indirect spend.
- To be responsible for the daily management of Indirect categories
- Consult with Internal stakeholders where appropriate to understand their requirements for services
- Extract and analyse data to identify opportunities to drive value or consolidate suppliers in the category.
- Maintain good relationships.
Key Skills and Experience required:
- Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally with exposure to IT, Technology or Professional Services categories.
- Demonstrated success leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from market analysis and supplier selection to tendering and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of strategic procurement principles
- Confident negotiator with working knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements
