Portfolio Procurement has been engaged to recruit an Indirect Buyer.

The role:

To be responsible for the Purchasing and control of Indirect services with a particular bias on the Capex category.

Main responsibilities:

Purchasing of indirect good and services, including the negotiation of current and expiring contracts
Monitoring of market and suppliers to ensure you are gaining the most competitive pricing
Negotiate improved contracts and terms and conditions
Explore alterative sources for indirect good.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
Proven track record of procurement achievement within the indirect sector
Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
Contract management and supplier experience, be commercially and financially aware with a strong commercial procurement background
Computer literate, to include Microsoft office suite
Functional procurement experience managing indirect supply including Capex
Knowledge and experience of best practice category management, sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management practices.
Expected to travel both UK and internationally so a clean driving licence and passport is essential.
