About the Role
Our client, a reputable and forward-thinking accountancy practice, is seeking a motivated Payroll Trainee to join their expanding payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to begin a long-term career in payroll within a supportive, training-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with processing payroll for a range of clients
Supporting the team with data input, administrative tasks, and client communication
Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring timely updates
Learning payroll legislation, procedures, and software systems
Providing excellent service to clients and contributing to a smooth payroll cycle
Requirements
✔ Strong A-Level grades and/or a degree-level qualification, ideally in maths or a numerical discipline
✔ Minimum 6 months’ experience in an office environment
✔ Confident using the full Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
✔ Less than 1 year of payroll experience (ideal for those early in their payroll career)
✔ Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
