      Job Description

      Our client is a leisure business based in Newcastle looking for a Payroll Assistant , as part of a friendly team you will be responsible for assisting the monthly payroll team processing payroll, as well as providing technical and practical support to the team ensuring that all automated processes run smoothly.

      Responsibilities

      • Work with Payroll Assistants and Payroll Manager ensuring timely and accurate payments
      • High volume payroll processing
      • Handling timesheets
      • Calculation of SSP,SMP,SPP
      • Reconciliations
      • Analysis of payroll Data
      • RTI Submissions
      • Administration and processing of end of month / annual returns
      • RTI, FPS, P60s, PSA / P11D
      • Tax calculations
      • BACS run
      • NI, overtime and other deductions
      • Auto enrolment

      Requirements

      • Experience of working in a payroll function
      • The ability to perform complex manual payroll calculations
      • Good working knowledge of current payroll legislation
      • The ability to work flexibly according to the changing needs of a busy office
