Portfolio Payroll are currently supporting a well estabilished accountancy practice based in the heart of Manchester as they look to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in payroll within a supportive and professional environment.
The role also offers hybrid working and a competitive salary.
As a Payroll Administrator, you will assist with the smooth and accurate processing of client payrolls, gaining hands-on experience in a busy bureau-style setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Inputting and checking payroll data including new starters, leavers, and any adjustments
- Assisting with statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP
- Ensuring accurate records are maintained and deadlines are met
- Helping to resolve payroll queries from clients in a timely and professional manner
- Working closely with the payroll team to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
- Supporting with year-end processes as needed (e.g., P60s, P45s)
