      Payroll Administrator (Bilingual – English/French)

      About the Role
      We are looking for a detail-oriented Bilingual Payroll Administrator to support our payroll team in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across a large, multi-provincial construction workforce. This role is ideal for someone early in their payroll career who is eager to grow, learn, and contribute within a collaborative, high-volume environment.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Provide administrative support to the payroll team for multi-provincial, hourly, and salaried payroll cycles.

      • Review and validate timesheets, job codes, and supporting documents for accuracy.

      • Assist in processing payroll transactions in accordance with provincial legislation, company policies, and union requirements.

      • Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

      • Support the preparation of ROEs, remittances, T4s, and other payroll documentation.

      • Respond to employee inquiries in both English and French.

      • Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and system updates as needed.

      • Collaborate with HR, site administrators, and the broader payroll team to ensure smooth workflow.

      Qualifications

      • 1-2+ years of payroll or related administrative experience (construction or unionized environment an asset but not required).

      • Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written).

      • Basic understanding of payroll legislation and standards; interest in developing expertise.

      • Experience with any payroll/HRIS software (ADP, Ceridian, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) considered an asset.

      • Strong attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy.

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

      • Strong communication and customer service skills.

      • PCP certification or enrolment an asset.
