Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Hertfordshire based client to recruit for a Supply Chain Coordinator.
Key Job Duties:
- Processing International purchase orders, deliveries, shipments, and invoices for global customers.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers globally and raising orders with factories in the Far East and Europe.
- Liaising with shipping agents to get competitive prices for freight and arranging paperwork for customs clearance.
- Analysing stock holding and customer sales.
- Keeping supply procedures up to date.
- Cover for other members of the Supply Chain team, reporting to the Head of Supply & Operations.
- Other administrative tasks as necessary according to the needs of the business
Skills/experience required:
- Previous experience in a supply chain role is needed, including the understanding of different shipment incoterms
- Understanding of the order, delivery, and invoice processes for a supplier
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Analytical ability
- Organised and able to maintain accurate records
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Productive and proactive
