      We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll & Pensions Specialist into a pivotal role. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys variety, ownership, and working across both payroll and pensions in a broad, hands-on capacity.

      This position will suit someone confident managing a full end-to-end payroll, while also playing a key role in pensions administration, systems improvement, and process development. The role offers real scope to make an impact and contribute to ongoing change and improvement initiatives.

      Key Responsibilities

      • End-to-end management of a complex payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing
      • Full responsibility for pensions administration, including auto-enrolment, contributions, queries, and liaison with providers
      • Managing payroll and pension-related audits, reconciliations, and statutory reporting
      • Acting as the main point of contact for payroll and pensions queries across the business
      • Supporting and leading on system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
      • Managing changes to payroll and pensions legislation and ensuring compliance at all times
      • Producing reports and analysis for finance and senior stakeholder
      • Supporting year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds, and audits
      • Identifying efficiencies and improving payroll controls and documentation

      About You

      • Proven experience in a senior role
      • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pensions
      • Experience managing payrolls
      • Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of payroll operation
      • Experience supporting or leading system implementations or process changes
      • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
      • Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders across the business
      • CIPP qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
