      Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a leading public sector client to recruit for a Procurement Manager.

      Main purpose of the job

      • To be the procurement lead to enable a full procurement offering.
      • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
      • Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Manage pre and post tender activities.
      • Build and maintain a database of local and regional suppliers.
      • Provide guidance and training to internal staff.

      Job Requirements

      • High level understanding of Public Sector procurement regulations
      • Previous experience managing a team
      • MCIPS qualification or working towards
      • Provide updates to internal staff and suppliers on procurement legislation
      • Participate in team briefings
      • Maintain working relationships with key personnel
