Payroll Administrator – Manufacturing Sector (Vaughan, ON)

About the Role
As a Payroll Administrator, you will assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large, multi-site workforce. You will work closely with senior payroll specialists and HR to ensure compliance, resolve payroll discrepancies, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Validate and input employee data, new hires, terminations, and changes within the payroll system
- Review and reconcile time and attendance data prior to payroll submission
- Support year-end activities including T4 preparation and government remittances
- Respond to employee inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and legislative requirements
- Participate in audits, reconciliations, and special payroll projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a computerized, high-volume payroll environment
- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources
- PCP designation (or working towards it) strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and experience using a large-scale payroll system (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, Workday, UKG)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
