Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Central London based client to recruit for an Indirect Buyer.
Key purpose of role:
To source services and products at competitive price and manage risk through using effective category and contract management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct category management reviews.
- Conduct tendering and benchmarking exercises in line with the category strategy.
- Ensure all contracts are in place with suppliers.
- Ensure all suppliers are compliant to company policies.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify business requirements.
- Monitor suppliers to ensure they are delivering in line with expectations and agreements.
- Communicate any changes which are likely to impact the business.
Skills and Experience required:
- Negotiation.
- Commercial acumen.
- Process orientated.
- Strong IT skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Degree and or CIPS qualified.
- Previous experience at Buyer level of at least 3 years.
