Portfolio Procurement are recruiting on behalf of an expanding business who are looking for a Buyer to join their team. We are looking for someone who has experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Industry. It is also a must that you are willing to travel between my clients two sites.
Main Duties
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate annual cost savings for the business where applicable
- Purchasing of materials and other requirements for the sites
- Good Inventory Management experience
- Excellent understanding of Inventory Management Systems
- Experience procuring metals and steels
- Excellent record keeping
- Good understanding of supply chain management
Person Spec
- Awareness of procurement practices and techniques
- IT Skills and communication skills
