      Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.

      You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of products and the associated supply base.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Maintain and develop effective supplier relationships
      • Management of internal stakeholders
      • Management of you assigned commodities to ensure continuity of supply
      • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability across your product portfolio
      • Implement opportunities to improve, service, cost, and inventory
      • Provide updates on any supply issues, risk and shortages

      Skills and Experience:

      • Experience in a Buying role
      • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
      • Experience in using ERP/MRP systems
      • Understanding of inventory management principles
      • Strong organisation skills
