About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll for a busy and dynamic workforce. You’ll be hands-on with the day-to-day processing and fully capable of stepping in during the Payroll Manager’s absence. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and monthly payrolls
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pensions, statutory payments, and deductions
- Support with audits, reporting, and reconciliations
- Act as a point of contact for payroll queries from employees and external bodies
- Deputise for the Payroll Manager during absence – confident in leading the payroll function when required
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other departments
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience
- Experience in a start-to-finish payroll environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- High attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills
- A team player who’s proactive and eager to take on new challenges
