They are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Payroll Specialist who is comfortable working in multi-system environments and enjoys a dynamic consulting setting.
Role Summary
The Payroll Specialist – Multi-System will be responsible for executing full-cycle payroll for various clients across Canada. This role requires strong Canadian payroll knowledge, comfort working across multiple payroll platforms, and the ability to manage client relationships in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle payroll for various clients, including unionized and non-unionized environments.
- Handle remittances and third-party payments accurately and on schedule.
- Manage benefits administration based on client requirements.
- Generate and validate payroll reports, journal entries, T4s, R1s, and employer summaries.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and provincial payroll regulations, client policies, and collective agreements.
- Collaborate with client HR teams on payroll documentation, deductions, and government reporting.
- Serve as the primary payroll contact for assigned clients.
- Support special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and vendor transitions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Canadian full-cycle payroll experience.
- Multi-employer or multi-site payroll experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with at least two payroll systems, such as Workday, Dayforce, ADP, UKG, or Nethris.
- Experience managing payroll across multiple systems and projects.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- College diploma or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- PCP or CPM certification is considered an asset.
