Production Planning Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Staffordshire based client to recruit for a Production Planning Manager.

Main Purpose of role:

You will be tasked with leading a planning team and playing a major part in shaping the production planning strategy, ensuring that the planning processes is improved.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring it is aligned with demand forecasts and business objectives.
• Conduct material planning processes to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable.
• Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Drive effective use of ERP systems.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on planning KPIs, production performance.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a Production Planning or Demand planning environment from within a manufacturing environment
• Vast knowledge of Production planning techniques and methodologies
• Previous experience using an MRP system
• Previous experience of managing a team, including coaching and career development
• Highly organised
