Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Essex based client to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator
Overview
Working within a team to accurately process the movement of materials through the business and to meet required of on time delivery and inventory accuracy targets; this is the key to the business success.
Main Accountabilities
- Within the Logistics functions, ensure the flow of materials is quick and efficient and meets local demands.
- Across the entire site, ensure the correct delivery of materials
- Ensure stock levels are accurate both physically within the area and on SAP.
- Aid customers with any part problems or stock queries and assist in their timely resolution
- Flexibility within the logistics team due to variable workload; able to change between different tasks including administrative tasks across the Logistics areas as required.
- Ensure all Health and Safety regulations and Manual Handling guidelines are adhered to within the working area while showing a duty of care to others within the area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects where required
Essential/Desired Experience
- Computer literate – SAP and Outlook experience – though full training will be given
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Manual handling trained.
- Strong team player with a can do approach.
- Thorough and a high attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems and customer oriented.
- Fork lift truck licence
