The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Bureau Specialist to join our team and manage a diverse portfolio of UK client payrolls. This role combines hands-on processing with the chance to help shape our workflows and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Delivery: Process end-to-end, multi-frequency UK payrolls for a varied client base, ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with HMRC legislation.
- Workflow Coordination: Monitor schedules, manage competing deadlines, and act as a main point of contact for complex technical queries and client updates.
- Quality & Improvement: Review data to maintain tight quality controls, streamline manual processes, and assist with onboarding new client payrolls.
- Team Support: Provide practical guidance and day-to-day technical coaching to colleagues to help build team confidence.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Solid background working within a fast-paced UK payroll bureau or multi-client outsourced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including auto-enrolment, statutory payments, and complex pay structures.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to evolving software systems.
