      Job Title: Payroll Specialist (Dayforce)

      Job Description:

      We are seeking an experienced and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team. This is a replacement role reporting directly to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for processing and auditing payroll across multiple pay groups, including union, salaried, and hourly employees.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Process and troubleshoot payroll for salaried and hourly employees.

      • Support union payroll processing and assist in the supervision of a junior payroll resource as part of succession planning.

      • Run audits, reports, and ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulations.

      • Play a key role in a time & attendance system implementation (Axis Care), with testing beginning in November and go-live in February.

      • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless payroll execution.

      • Import and analyze data using strong Excel skills.

      Requirements:

      • Full cycle payroll for hourly and salaried ON based employees

      • Comfortable processing using Dayforce for end to end process including time and attendance management

      • Ability to make systems updates and changes as necessary

      • PCP certification (required).

      • Strong Excel capabilities, especially with data imports and audits.

      • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.

      • Comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.

      Compensation & Benefits:

      • Salary: $65,000-$75,000

      • Full benefits

      • RRSP: 7% employer contribution (no match required) after 1 year

      • Hybrid schedule: 1-2 days on-site weekly
