      Payroll Specialist
      Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 1-2 days onsite)

      About the Role
      We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong UKG experience to join a growing payroll team. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high level of service to employees.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Process full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll (bi-weekly or semi-monthly) for a large employee population
      • Maintain and update employee payroll records in UKG
      • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation
      • Handle payroll adjustments including bonuses, commissions, retro pay, and terminations
      • Prepare and process ROEs, year-end activities (T4s, RL-1s if applicable), and statutory remittances
      • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
      • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide exceptional support
      • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters and system updates

      Qualifications

      • 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment
      • Strong hands-on experience with UKG (Workforce Now / Pro preferred)
      • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
      • Experience processing multi-provincial payroll
      • PCP designation (or in progress) is considered an asset
      • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills

      Nice to Have

      • Experience in unionized environments
      • Exposure to payroll implementations or system upgrades
      • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
