      Bilingual Payroll Coordinator
      Salary: $70,000 – $75,000
      Work Type: Fully Remote (Ontario or Quebec residents only)
      Reports to: Payroll & HR Manager

      Overview
      Our client, a growing organization in the healthcare sector, is seeking a Bilingual Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations following the recent acquisition of multiple sites in Quebec. This role will play a key part in stabilizing payroll processes, resolving existing issues, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery in a unionized environment.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600 employees across newly acquired sites
      • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies and system-related issues
      • Support the integration of new sites into the existing payroll framework
      • Create and maintain pay codes, ensuring alignment with organizational standards
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address employee payroll inquiries
      • Balance time between issue resolution (initially ~3 days/week) and payroll processing (~2 days/week)
      • Ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation and collective agreements

      Qualifications

      • 3-5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment
      • Experience working with unionized payroll (multiple unions preferred)
      • Strong communication skills in both English and French
      • Hands-on experience with Nethris or Desjardins payroll systems
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Experience with payroll setup, system implementation, or process improvement is considered an asset
