      Part-Time Payroll Specialist (Contract)

      We are currently seeking a Part-Time Payroll Specialist for a 3-month contract opportunity based in Guelph (ideally in-office).

      This role is suited for a hands-on payroll professional who is comfortable working independently and managing full-cycle payroll in a small to mid-sized environment.

      Key Details:

      • Location: Guelph (in-office preferred)
      • Schedule: 2 days per week (Monday & Tuesday)
      • Contract Length: 3 months
      • System: QuickBooks
      • Employee Base: Approximately 115 hourly employees

      Responsibilities:

      • Process full-cycle payroll for approximately 115 hourly employees
      • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely processing each pay cycle
      • Use QuickBooks for payroll processing and reporting
      • Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, and reconciliations as required
      • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
      • Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and internal policies

      Ideal Candidate:

      • Previous payroll experience in a similar hands-on role
      • Experience using QuickBooks for payroll is an asset
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
      • Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment
