      Payroll Manager

      Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

      Our client, a well-established organization based in Downtown Toronto, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys leading a team, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations.

      Responsibilities

      • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a large, multi-provincial employee population.
      • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team while fostering a collaborative work environment.
      • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time in compliance with all federal and provincial legislation.
      • Manage payroll-related activities, including year-end processing, T4s, ROEs, statutory remittances, and reconciliations.
      • Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support payroll and benefits administration.
      • Maintain and optimize payroll systems, identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
      • Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
      • Assist with payroll implementations, system upgrades, and special projects as needed.

      Qualifications

      • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
      • PCP designation required; CPM designation is considered a strong asset.
      • Experience processing high-volume, multi-provincial payroll in Canada.
      • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, employment standards, and statutory requirements.
      • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Dayforce, UKG, Workday, or similar.
      • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
      • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an asset.
