Payroll & Benefits Specialist – (Ceridian Dayforce)
Downtown Toronto | Hybrid (2-3 Days On-Site)
Temp 6 months
$35-$38/hour
Are you a payroll professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the non-profit sector? Our client, a well-respected non-profit based in Downtown Toronto, is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist for a temporary opportunity. This is an ideal role for someone with full-cycle Ceridian Dayforce experience who values purpose-driven work and a supportive hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle, end-to-end payroll using Ceridian Dayforce for 650 employees.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with provincial and federal legislation.
- Prepare ROEs, T4s, and support year-end reconciliations and audits.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in HR/payroll systems.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on reporting and onboarding/offboarding tasks.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3/5 years of full-cycle Canadian payroll experience.
- Hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce is required.
- Strong understanding of employment standards and payroll legislation.
- Experience administering employee benefits and pension plans.
- PCP certification (or in progress) through the National Payroll Institute.
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management.
