      Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist
      Location: Mississauga 3 x a week
      Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

      Key Responsibilities

      As the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will:

      • Manage end-to-end payroll for 500+ salaried and hourly employees across various Canadian provinces.

      • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial payroll regulations.

      • Process timely and accurate payroll via direct deposit in alignment with payroll deadlines.

      • Maintain detailed and confidential employee records, including personal, banking, and tax information.

      • File statutory remittances and reports such as T4/T4A, RL1, ROE, EI, CPP, WSIB, CNESST, and EHT.

      • Perform regular payroll audits and reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

      • Oversee year-end processes, including the preparation and distribution of tax forms.

      • Manage vacation accruals and payouts in accordance with company policies.

      • Prepare and post payroll journal entries, including month-end and year-end adjustments.

      • Act as the subject matter expert for Ceridian Dayforce payroll and time tracking modules.

      • Provide training and support to managers and supervisors on payroll systems and procedures.

      • Stay current on changes to payroll legislation to ensure continued compliance.


      What You Bring

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

      • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP)

      • 5-7 years of progressive payroll experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.

      • Strong proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce payroll system.

      • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll regulations (including Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland & Labrador).

      • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

      • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

      • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
