Payroll Supervisor – Hybrid | Waterloo, ON
Large Manufacturing Organization
We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Waterloo to find a Payroll Supervisor to lead day-to-day payroll operations and manage a team of four Payroll Administrators. This is a high-impact role within a large, fast-paced environment offering 50% hybrid flexibility.
Overseeing full-cycle payroll for a large employee population within a manufacturing setting
Leading, mentoring, and performance managing a team of 4 direct reports
Reviewing and validating payroll entries, deductions, and reconciliations
Building advanced Excel reports to support finance and operations
Driving process improvements, automation, and internal controls
Acting as the key point of contact for escalations, audits, and compliance matters
Partnering closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data flow
4 to 7 years of progressive payroll experience
Previous experience managing or mentoring a payroll team
Advanced Excel skills – pivots, v-lookups/x-lookups, large data manipulation
Unionized environment payroll experience in a mid to large organization
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, controls, and best practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
PCP/CPM designation is an asset
