Junior Payroll Specialist – Temp to Perm
Working Schedule: (5 days on-site)
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour
Portfolio Payroll is working with a fast-paced and growing accounting & bookkeeping firm to recruit a Junior Payroll Specialist for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This is an excellent role for a payroll professional with 1-2 years of experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to a wide range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for 10-12 clients concurrently
-
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in a fast-paced environment
-
Work with union payrolls, ensuring compliance with collective agreements
-
Utilize a variety of payroll software and in-house systems
-
Manage payroll records, statutory deductions, remittances, and reports

Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve payroll queries
-
Support with year-end processes including T4s and reconciliations
Qualifications:
-
1-2 years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-client or accounting firm setting
-
Familiarity with multiple payroll software platforms
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
-
PCP certification or actively working towards it
