Role: Payroll & HRIS Manager

Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and mentor payroll specialists to build an effective and collaborative team.
Manage end-to-end payroll operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Lead payroll input into system implementations (e.g., UKG Time & Attendance module).
Payroll Processing & Compliance
Administer payroll across multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces for hourly and salaried staff.
Ensure full compliance with applicable labor and tax regulations (e.g., U.S. federal/state laws, Canadian employment standards).
Develop payroll policies, controls, and procedures; lead audit readiness and compliance reviews.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with HR, Finance, and Legal to align payroll with benefits, GL reconciliation, and reporting requirements.
Deliver insights through detailed payroll reports and compliance metrics.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in payroll workflows and system utilization.
Maintain thorough documentation including task calendars and standardized procedures.
Key Performance Indicators
Maintain full compliance with audit standards.
Ensure timely payroll delivery for all employees in Canada and the U.S.
