Payroll Coordinator – Temp to Perm
Location: Pointe-Claire / Montreal
Pay Rate: $33-$38/hour
Contract: 3-month temporary role with strong potential to become permanent
Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a leading construction company to recruit a Payroll Coordinator for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This is a fantastic chance to build your payroll career in a hands-on fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle union payrolls in line with collective agreements and industry standards
- Prepare and process journal entries, ROEs, reconciliations, year-end reports, and T4s
- Maintain payroll records, statutory deductions, and taxable benefits
- Work with UKG payroll software (open to other payroll platforms)
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and construction-specific legislation
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and internal teams to resolve payroll queries
- High attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines in a busy environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally within the construction industry or a multi-client environment
- PCP certification (completed or in progress)
