Payroll Benefits Administrator – 8 Month Contract
Location: Markham
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator for an 8-month contract to support a leading logistics company. Working as part of a dedicated payroll team of three, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery for over 600 employees using Ceridian Dayforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll for 600+ employees accurately and on schedule using Ceridian Dayforce.
- Maintain and update employee records including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay/benefits.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to complete reconciliations, government remittances, ROEs, and year-end reporting.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislation as well as company policies.
- Support audits, reporting, and payroll-related projects as required.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce payroll system is required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and Canadian payroll legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- PCP designation (or working toward completion)
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or similar fast-paced industries is an advantage.
