Compensation: $68,500 – $80,000
Our client is a well-established and highly respected organization seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to manage stand-alone payroll operations across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys full ownership of payroll and benefits administration.
Full-cycle weekly union and bi-weekly salaried payroll processing
Manage payroll in ADP Workforce Now (Jonas Premier experience considered an asset)
Process new hires, terminations, rate changes, bonuses, deductions, employer contributions, and union updates
Review and validate timesheets for accuracy and compliance
Administer statutory remittances including Source Deductions, EHT, WSIB, and union dues
Oversee RRSP and benefits administration (enrollments, terminations, life changes, reporting)
Complete mid-year and year-end reconciliations
Prepare T4 slips, T4 Summary, WSIB Annual Returns, and EHT Annual Returns
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries
Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, and operational teams
Support ad-hoc reporting and payroll analysis
3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience in a mid-sized or multi-entity organization
Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (CRA, WSIB, EHT, year-end reporting)
Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
Union payroll experience preferred
Benefits and RRSP administration experience
PCP certification considered an asset
High attention to detail and strong confidentiality standards
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
