Payroll Administrator
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)
Salary: $70,000-$75,000 + benefits
About the Company
Our client is a large, well-established logistics organization with a high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment. With a national footprint and a growing workforce, they are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll processing.
The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll for a large employee population, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and supporting payroll-related inquiries across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume, full-cycle payroll on a regular schedule
Maintain and update employee payroll data (new hires, terminations, changes)
Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy
Administer statutory deductions, garnishments, and benefit deductions
Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Support year-end activities including T4s and audits
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation
Qualifications
2-5+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment
PCP designation preferred (or currently working towards)
Experience in logistics, transportation, or similarly fast-paced industries is an asset
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Comfortable working with payroll systems and Excel
Strong communication and customer service skills
