Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in North York, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on payroll professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and has full-cycle payroll experience using Kronos or UKG.
Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: North York
Type: Full-time, Temporary – 12 Months
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for 400+ hourly and salaried employees across weekly and bi-weekly pay cycles
* Balance labour hours and validate time and attendance data across multiple shift schedules
* Ensure accurate calculation and processing of overtime, vacation pay, and adjustments
* Manage multi-provincial payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Canadian payroll legislation
* Prepare and remit government remittances including CRA, WSIB, WCB, and EHT
* Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate records and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of payroll experience with a strong understanding of time and attendance systems and payroll legislation
* Manufacturing experience is required must be comfortable managing hourly payroll, overtime, and shift schedules
* Experience with UKG / Kronos is required; familiarity with ADP is considered an asset
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reporting)
* Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
