      Global Payroll Specialist (Remote)

      About the Role

      Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the United States with a primary focus on domestic payroll and secondary support for international payrolls.

      This position supports a fast-paced, high-growth environment and plays a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Process full-cycle payroll for the primary domestic jurisdiction and provide backup support for additional American and international payrolls
      • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including benefits reconciliation
      • Administer HRIS and payroll systems; manage payroll changes including salary adjustments, deductions, employee terminations, and required employment documentation
      • Review and reconcile quarterly and year-end payroll reports, including statutory tax forms and filings
      • Prepare and balance payroll journal entries and reconcile monthly benefits reports
      • Stay current on regulatory and legislative changes impacting payroll across multiple jurisdictions
      • Provide ad hoc payroll reporting and analysis to the Finance team
      • Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to support payroll operations
      • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy

      Qualifications

      • 4-5 years of payroll experience
      • Professional payroll designation (or equivalent) preferred
      • Strong payroll accounting knowledge
      • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems administration is an asset
      • Exposure to international payroll (or willingness to learn)
      • Advanced spreadsheet skills
      • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
      • High attention to detail and strong sense of accountability
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
      • Strong communication and customer service skills
      • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization
