Role: Payroll Administrator
Location: Vaughan – hybrid 3 days onsite
Our client is looking to expand their US payroll division from their HQ located in Vaughan – parking onsite and accessible by transit
Key Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing for ~6,500 salaried, hourly, and unionized employees
- Process regular, commission, bonus, and other special payments accurately and on time
- Enter and audit payroll data, including vacation payouts, allowances, retro pay, taxable benefits, garnishments, and ROEs
- Maintain employee records in Workday Payroll and time & attendance systems; handle new hires and terminations
- Reconcile payroll tax accounts and assist with month-end journal entries and reporting
- Respond to employee and government inquiries professionally
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, internal policies, and confidentiality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll procedures and act as a backup within the team
- PCP certification considered an asset
