      Payroll Analyst

      Location: Winnipeg, MB (On-Site with Flexible Work Options)

      Position Overview

      The Payroll Analyst is responsible for analyzing, improving, and supporting payroll and HR systems and processes to ensure operational efficiency, data integrity, and legislative compliance. This role works closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to identify system improvements, mitigate risks, and enhance reporting capabilities.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Analyze and optimize payroll and HR processes for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

      • Support implementation, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS and payroll systems

      • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and compliance of payroll and HR data

      • Develop and maintain advanced reporting and analytics to support decision-making

      • Monitor and interpret legislative changes and implement required system or process updates

      • Provide technical and operational support to payroll team members

      • Assist with payroll processing, including union payroll administration

      • Investigate and resolve payroll and HR inquiries from internal and external stakeholders


      Qualifications

      • Payroll accounting certification or related credential

      • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation required

      • 5-7 years of progressive payroll administration experience

      • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation

      • Experience working with payroll/HR systems (e.g., ADP, CMiC, or similar platforms)

      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Queries, Word, Outlook, Teams)

      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

      • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
